Artist Comment- If you spend a great deal of time around bronies, the subject of Past Sins will eventually come up. Past Sins is a story featuring a hackneyed Mary Sue protagonist who sits around crying because having godlike powers is so difficult, and is one of many cancers that plague the fandom. It is not, however, as bad as My Little Dashie, since it doesn’t feature an emotionally stunted, forever alone, brony manchild, but that is a story for another day.

I haven’t read Past Sins for quite a long time, bit I remember the main character not doing too much except for whining. I remember reading it and thinking, “when is the author going to make something actually worthwhile happen in this story?”

I think that drawing ponies is a great practice for beginners. Ponies’ anatomy isn’t really hard and they’re just fun to draw. Though it’s not an excuse to avoid drawing humans, of course
